Executive Headteacher – This can be the most powerful improvement strategy and often the quickest. At Elite we work alongside (on the ‘shopfloor’) the current leadership team, modelling, coaching and supporting the improvements and navigating the changes, but empowering the team to lead their own setting and departments.

Departmental reviews – It is vitally important to know how departments are performing, however it is crucial for leaders to know if the staff can make these improvements. After the initial review, I will then work with the team to make the changes needed to improve.

Improvement Planning – Plans, at all levels, are a fundamental tool for improvement and for holding teams to account. Using your organisation’s format or creating a new proforma, I can work with leaders to focus on the immediate actions, timescales and responsibilities. I then support the leaders to ‘inspect what they expect’ and have accountability conversations.

Headteacher Reviews – I can give an external perspective, with an appropriate level of challenge and support. I also work with Headteachers to set priority targets, matched with the correct training and support packages.

I had the incredible fortune of working with Alex, as Director of Primary, at a time my school was floundering.  Alex has a clear and engaging approach to strategic leadership.  She enables leaders to take back control and be empowered to lead.  Alex leads by example and has a clear focus on leadership values, which effectively underpins rapid school improvement.  In just six terms we moved from unsatisfactory to good.

Mrs M Lawson, Principal Kinson Academy

Alex carried out a review of literacy and SEN provision in our medium-sized secondary school (992 on roll) in January 2023. She was able to clearly identify our strengths and areas for development through this review. Alex’s insight and experience are exceptional, but it was her support as we implemented changes following the review which really made the difference to colleagues. Alex gave our SENDCo and other leaders the confidence to drive through necessary changes, transforming our provision for the most vulnerable students (those with EHCPs in particular). The impact of this work was clearly felt at the time and built the foundations for a successful Ofsted visit in autumn 2023. Our SEN outcomes have continued to improve: attendance and reading scores are better, whislt persistent absence has fallen alongside suspensions for SEN students and recidivism. We are very grateful for Alex’s work and I would recommend her without hesitation.

Mr T Neill, Principal Wey Valley Academy

Alex led through example with very high expectations whilst fostering collaborative team work. Her ability to coordinate multiple teams, with every team member feeling valued, ensured that all remained on track and standards improved rapidly. Alex’s has extensive knowledge of  educational pedagogy and leadership as well as inter personal skills enabling her to approach individuals at all levels.

Mrs J Fish, Principal, Bournemouth

I highly recommend Alex as an Educational and Leadership Consultant, she has vast experience and knowledge of educational practices, leadership skills and Special Educational Needs. She has a natural ability to quickly identify gaps and areas of development and offer immediate solutions. Her relentless focus on ensuring high standards across the education sector has ensured the best possible outcomes for our pupils. Thank you.

Miss S Beer, Vice Principal Elm Academy

I had the pleasure of working closely with Alex during our time at both Manorside and Bayside Academies. As a Principal at Bayside, I was consistently impressed by Alex’s exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to improving our school.

Alex demonstrated a remarkable ability to foster collaboration among staff, parents, and students. Her inclusive approach created a positive and supportive environment where everyone felt valued and motivated. She consistently encouraged open communication and actively sought input from all stakeholders.

In terms of school improvement, Alex was instrumental in implementing innovative strategies. Her data-driven approach allowed us to identify areas for support quickly and tailor our interventions effectively. Under her guidance, our school achieved significant progress in student outcomes, teacher development, and overall school performance.

Alex’s dedication to excellence was evident in every decision she made. She tirelessly worked to enhance teaching practices, curriculum development, and student/family engagement. Her vision for the school was inspiring, and her ability to execute that vision was unparalleled locally and nationally.

Her passion, expertise, and commitment to educational excellence make her an asset to any organisation. It was an honour to collaborate with her.
